Night Lights can Only Protect us so Much

My final project for my Watercolor Painting class last fall. The assignment was an open piece, meaning that we could do whatever we felt strongly about.

I had actually been thinking about this piece, or something like it for a while, and the class gave me a chance to do it. I was inspired by my own childhood, the idea of overcoming nightmares, and the scary illustrations in the books that I read as a child.
